Hello all.

Father's Day tickets will be sold until the day of the event!

We will begin featuring our new Summer Menu this Friday, June 13th.

Hello Members
Hello members,

My name is Nick Malizia, I am the new manager at the Wheel and I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I previously worked at Carrabba’s in Lancaster and The James in Williamsport. I will be working as a chef-manager and will try to visit as many of you at your table as possible. I have been working with the staff to ensure that you will have an experience that you will come to enjoy over and over again, one that will make you want to come back…..over and over again.

Hope to see you soon,
Nick

Dear Members:

We have been working diligently to prepare for our opening on Wednesday, February 26th. Like many of you we had furnace issues, frozen pipes and other equipment malfunctions that kept setting us back. When we realized that we would not meet the February 1st opening we quickly put a letter together and got it in the mail on January 24th. We later realized that some members had not received their letter as much as 15 days later. When we inquired with the post office we were told that Williamsport mail goes to Harrisburg for sorting and then back to Williamsport and then back to local post offices for delivery.

To date we have received over half of the membership’s email addresses. Some of the emails had suggestions. The majority of the emails from the members said they would like to see us return the Wheel to the position of prominence that it once had while not snubbing our nose to the younger and more liberal members. Some of the issues that were brought to our attention were dress code, food quality and pricing, better level of training for staff, upgrading pre-meal snacks, and overall atmosphere and ambiance. We thought it would be easier to address all these issues in this email as opposed to doing it individually. There was a question posed, “would emails replace the newsletter“ at this time the answer is no. However, we know with email we can be more timely when it comes to dinner specials and special events. Also, because of the expense of the glossy newsletter we may be forced to bring it out less often. Another item that was brought to our attention was reservations, while they will not be required they will certainly be helpful and appreciated.

Respectfully,
Wheel Inn Board of Directors

Michael J. Maggio and 100 members from the Wheel Club if Williamsport, PA founded and signed into charter The “Wheel Inn Inc.” on June 16, 1947; his purpose being charitable, recreational, and educational particularly in the development and training of youth.

A private club founded in 1947, this private club is located in scenic valley between Lycoming and Tioga counties. This club of close to 65 years boasts spectacular views of the Endless Mountains and Lycoming Creek. You can find the club’s members enjoying anything from a delicious $10 all-inclusive meal on Wednesday and Thursday nights to a stupendous clambake in August to a mouth watering New Year’s Eve menu to bring in the New Year.

This year, the Wheel Inn celebrates 65 years in business! Thank you to all the members who have supported us from day one to the present day. There are a few pictures located throughout the newsletter from early days to present. I’ve also included some history on the club. Patty and I had the pleasure of visiting with Leon (Tilly) Tillotson and his wife, Vivian, to talk about the club in its early days. Tilly and Viv were both employees years ago and had some great stories to share.
